This is thick/substantial enough & washed fine, looks like it will hold up, it fit snug on the mattress (but wasn't hard to get on) and also wasn't too bulky to get the sheet over top of it-- basic product-exactly what I needed, no frills or extra expense- just does what you need & serves its purpose. I see no need to spring for the pricier versions.

I think I found the problem with the negative reviews. The main description is for the fitted crib pad. It looks like when you click on which color you want it changes to the flat pad which is a pack of 2. I think those are getting the bad reviews saying they are too small.
I have the actual Carters Keep Me Dry FITTED crib pad. I have 2. They are about $12 in stores. The FITTED one is awesome! I have had the Sealy brand and Circo brand fitted crib pads. HORRIBLE. Both of them shrink and the top pills- balls up after repeated washings. I wash this Carters one in HOT water and dry on normal heat cycle. It has never shrunk (we have been using it for 8 months). It is fitted tightly enough where I am not concerned that it will come off the mattress, but it is not a battle getting it on either. Don't spend $20 on a "higher end" crib pad. Get 2 or 3 of these and that will be all you'll need! They are super soft and add a layer of cozy without being think where you might worry about suffocation risk. I recommend them to all my friends who are expecting!
JUST BE SURE you are actually ordering the FITTED crib pad and not the plain pack of 2 crib pads..........

We have had one "accident" on this pad and it worked great. It stopped the leak from getting through to the mattress. It can be a little tough to get it to stay in place while putting the sheet on top, but we expected that from a non-fitted pad.

One tip - if you can, you should buy two of these. We have a layering approach. So on the mattress we have a pad, then sheet, then another pad, then another sheet. That way if there's a nighttime "accident" it's easy to remove the top sheet and pad. You don't have to spend time in the middle of the night trying to get another sheet on the bed - and you're all set in case there's another leak.

I was expecting to get something a little bigger. This does cover the width of the mattress but nowhere near the length. It will not work for a baby crib, in my opinion. It does provide enough protection where I need it in my daughter's toddler bed though, so that is where I will be using it. She is potty trained and learning how to nap without a pullup so these are perfect for the occasional accident. They absorb A LOT of liquid and don't even leak through to the mattress. I think that in a baby's crib though the crib pad should cover the entire mattress, so I will stick to full sized fitted crib pads for my other child.

We have had this cover since our first baby was born 1.5 years ago. It holds up great in the wash but I've only let it air dry. It fits comfortably around the standard crib mattress and doesn't shift at all even now that our toddler moves around a lot when he sleeps. It has been peed and puked on so it does have slight stains on it but the mattress doesn't! I can't believe I haven't had to replace it yet!

This not your typical crib pad. It doesn't seem plasticky at all. It is very soft and washed up nicely. Wish I would've had this kind with my first 2 kids! You won't be disappointed with this one! Especially since it is about the same price (maybe cheaper) as the lesser quality ones at department stores!

Jag köpte faktiskt denna vattentäta vadderade krubba pad för den krubba madrassen jag använder för min hund säng. :) Jag har en stor hund som slår fast alla typer av kommersiella hund säng, så jag bestämde mig för att börja använda krubba madrasser. Inte bara är de billigare än hund sängar, har de inre fjädrar som kan stå upp till henne £ 120. De första madrasserna jag köpt, fast, slet hon snabbt i bitar. Med denna quiltad pad hon lämnade den ensam och madrassen har varat i över fyra månader nu, fortfarande gott som ny! Så om detta krubba pad kan stå upp till ett 120 £ hund med naglar gå över det, det kan stå säkert upp till en bebis! :)

My wife washed this cover with something velcro and it pulled at the fabric a bit. Recommend not washing it with velcro items.
