Review by Busy 1st Time Mom : SUPER soft, but shrinks significantly!

For several months now I have been using the conventional cotton interlock sheet by ABC in my daughter's crib and have been very pleased. I upgraded to this organic sheet last week. They are SUPER soft and stretchy and actually run a little large right out of the package. The standard size mattress we have measures 28 x 52 x 5. After washing them according to the manufacturer's care instructions before use, I found that they REALLY shrank up! I washed them in cold and dried them on the coolest setting available on my dryer (permanent press cycle.) The length from one end of the crib to the other was most affected. I will definitely use them, but it's going to be a bit of a wrestling match each time I change her sheets! Go ahead and buy these sheets but be VERY careful how you care for them.

I bought two of these sheets along with the mattress cover. I have had all 3 for about almost year. The mattress cover, I love. Fit is great, is waterproof and has worn well. The sheets are soft and do shrink, as other reviewers have noted, but I also wanted to mention that mine shrank to an odd size. They ended up short length-wise but too big width-wise. Not a deal breaker, but takes a bit of yanking to get on. I have also been disapointed with how the sheets have worn. My son has used these from ~9 to now 18 months and the elastic - which is only sewn onto the edge of the sheet, it is not wrapped as I would have expected - is starting to pull away from the sheet and the sheets are pilled. I will not repurchase.

This sheet is much softer than the Kushies brand organic cotton sheet. It fits great on my daughter's No Compromise Naturepedic mattress. I have washed and dried it normally (tumble dry low) with no shrinkage. Great sheet! Tip: use sheet suspenders to keep the sheet tight on the mattress and wrinkle free.

I bought one organic ABC crib sheet and one non-organic ABC crib sheet. Both have impressed me thus far. Both fit a standard crib mattress. The organic sheet IS softer than the regular sheet (although both are remarkably soft), and I love the feel of it. It feels like a much more expensive sheet! I read in the other reviews that it shrinks in the dryer, and so I have been very careful drying it - hanging it dry when possible, and drying it on the delicate cycle when not. Thus far, I have washed it several times and it has washed well and I have not noticed any shrinking (nor have I had any trouble fitting it on the mattress). Overall, this is my favorite sheet that I've bought for my son's crib, and I plan to buy more.

ADDITIONAL INFO: I wrote this review in June, 2009. It is now January, 2011. This sheet is still soft, still fits the mattress (I've been drying it on my regular settings in my dryer for the last year, at least, without any shrinkage). All the other brands of sheets I bought no longer fit, or are no longer soft, but these have endured. I'll be buying more of these sheets for my daughter's crib, because I am so impressed!......

It is a little thicker then a normal bed sheet, wasn't expecting that, for a softer bed. It isn't so much thicker that I worry about my baby, I'd say it's 1/16 in thickeness, maybe 2 or 3 times thicker then a normal bed sheet.

The crib sheets are soft, fit well, and the price is excellent. In fact, when we ordered the sheets I was concerned about the quality because the price was so "low." Well, to my surprise and delight, the sheets (purchased two) are softer than the other organic, twice-the-cost crib sheet that I had previously purchased. So, we are very pleased.
